Hello I am Robin,
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor specializing in anxiety, depression, and trauma / PTSD. My prime focus in counselling is to help empower you to discover your journey towards healing and resilience. I believe counselling is a form of healing which begins by prioritizing your mental health. I will help you work towards this journey through collaboration and interventions in this healing process. I will provide a holistic approach to allow you to connect to your mind, body, and soul.
I have experience working with clients of different ages, from children to older adults from diverse ethnic backgrounds. I conduct counselling in both English and Punjabi and use various therapeutic approaches. These approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I am allied with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and work to offer a culturally safe space.
My work centralizes on using different modalities which best suit your needs. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space to allow you to be yourself. I aim to empower you by providing a safe space to voice your story. I am excited to learn about your worldviews and unique qualities. I encourage you to work through your challenges with me and work towards your journey of healing and resilience.
On a personal front, I am a cisgender female born in the Interior of British Columbia to immigrant parents from India. I am a spiritual person who loves being in nature, watching hockey, and travelling.

Hi, I am Sam Dubetz. I am Master’s of Social Work student at University of British Columbia and have over 20 years of experience in social service work. Much of my experience has been centred in working with members of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and people impacted by the criminal legal system and mental health system. My client base has included people charged with murders, people confined to psychiatric units, and people living with chronic illnesses. It has also included people who worried that their concerns were not grand enough to justify reaching out for support. The common ground among all these people were aspirations to accomplish, overcome, and reclaim. Whether the issues drawing you to counselling feel small or insurmountable, I am a firm believer that absolutely everyone is deserving of support.
I draw heavily upon Narrative Therapy which can help us make a deeper connection to our values, confidence, and resilience. My work is guided by a social justice minded and anti-oppressive framework, and I try to create a space that supports people in being the authors and experts in the stories of their own lives. My approach aims to assist people in recognizing and accessing their own internal motivations and strengths as the basis for accomplishing their goals.
On a personal note, I am passionate about cycling, skiing, and spending time outdoors. I am a pet caregiver and an avid cook of vegan and vegetarian food. I also appreciate time reading and playing video games old and new.
I believe it is important to acknowledge that I am a white settler who lives on the stolen homelands of the people of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ / Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. I believe in working to dispel myths, promote equity, and fight injustice.
I offer appointments at Blackbird's Cloverdale clinic and through the online virtual clinic.

Hi, I am Karina Crow, Founder of Blackbird Counselling And Wellness.
I am a Registered Social Worker and have two decades of front-line and clinical practice in mental health and addictions. I work from an integrated approach, using different types of counselling modalities to personalize your sessions. I support diversity and welcome people who identify as counter-culturalists, nonconformists, creatives, musicians, and people exploring their meaning in the world. I am an ally with marginalized people and the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. I have worked as a front-line worker for many years with multiple non-profits in the Downtown East Side of Vancouver, in Forensic Social Work, Public Health and I currently work in private practice.
I specialize in working with trauma (PTSD, CPTSD), complex family relationships, intergenerational trauma, substance use concerns, and general mental health, such as anxiety, depression and mood disorders. I work from a place to understand you as a whole person, your physical and mental health are connected and I honor this in our counselling sessions. It is of the most importance to me that you feel heard and understood, I will never judge your experience, and will provide a safe environment to talk about anything you choose.
I offer a specialized treatment - Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). It is one of my favorite modalities to use, as it is effective and powerful. I often can take one to three sessions of ART to reprogram stressful emotions, memories and images and move to a place where these experiences no longer trigger strong physical or emotional reactions.
