Welcome,
I am Andrew Simmons, am dedicated and compassionate with a strong desire to make a positive impact on individuals and communities. I have a deep understanding of the importance of holistic well-being. I am committed to providing empathetic and culturally sensitive therapy sessions and I ally with the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
I have experience working alongside people who are experiencing mental health, chronic health conditions, end-of-life, grief and loss, anxiety, and depression. I have also worked alongside Indigenous and other BIPOC individuals. My practice is grounded in social justice and equity.
With a warm and approachable demeanour, I am dedicated to creating a safe space where clients can express themselves and work towards their personal goals. I work to listen to your stories and concerns, tailoring each session to suit your unique background and circumstances.
I share a genuine passion for promoting mental health and fostering meaningful connections. I will hold space for you with an open mind and a willingness to learn, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance your wellness. I am dedicated to empowering individuals on their paths to well-being.
Personally, I enjoy gardening, being in nature, and sharing time with my two beautiful dogs.

Hello and welcome! My name is Steph, I have worked for the past 13 years in community mental health serving folks in Vancouver who have been diagnosed with various psychiatric and mood conditions such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. In addition to offering therapeutic counselling services, I also work part-time with a local community health center offering support to elders and their families to connect with home support health care, community resources, assisted living, and long-term care. I have a bachelor's and master's in social work and have additional training certificates in the areas of mental health, grief and loss, and suicide prevention.
My approach to practice is fundamentally strengths-based, trauma-informed, and deeply rooted in relationships and trust. My goal in our sessions together is to offer an environment of safety where you feel supported. I work to explore your experiences, thoughts, feelings, and reflections in a way that is meaningful to you and contributes positively towards a holistic sense of balance, deeper self-compassion and understanding. I'm so looking forward to connecting with you and embarking on this exciting and empowering journey of mental health and wellness together.
In my free time, I love to spend time with my family on the Sunshine Coast exploring trails, combing beaches, sharing delicious meals, and laughing around the fire. My ancestors are from Poland and Ukraine, and I respectfully hold space on the unceded territories of Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh, Squamish, and Shishalh nations.
It is an honour for me to listen, to hold space for your story, and to support your personal, complex, and ever-evolving journey. Book your free 20 min consultation today
